An isolation exercise that helps correct muscle imbalances and increases intensity. Requires more focus and control.
Set up the machine as you would for a double leg extension, but use about half of your usual weight.
Place only one leg under the ankle pad. The other foot can rest on the floor or be bent in the air.
Exhale and fully extend the working leg. Focus on keeping your hips stable and feeling the burn in your quadriceps.
Slowly lower the weight back down. Complete all repetitions on one leg before switching to the other.
