This exercise targets different muscles, specifically your inner and outer thighs (adductors and abductors) and gluteus medius/minimus, while improving balance and coordination.
Stand sideways on the machine, with your right side facing forward, holding onto the nearest rail for support.
Begin climbing by leading with your right foot, and then bringing your left foot to meet it on the next step.
Continue this side-step crossover motion for 2 minutes.
Carefully switch sides so your left side is facing forward and repeat for another 2 minutes.
