This exercise targets the rear deltoids and upper back muscles. Keep the movement controlled and avoid using momentum by swinging your body.
Adjust the machine arms to shoulder height, directly in front of your body. Grasp the opposite handle (right hand to left handle, and vice versa).
Stand tall with your chest up and core engaged. Maintain a slight bend in your elbows.
Exhale and pull the handles back and out to your sides until your arms are nearly in a straight line with your body. Squeeze your shoulder blades together at the end of the movement.
Pause briefly, then slowly and controllably return your hands to the starting position while inhaling.
