This exercise targets the rear deltoids and upper back. Keep your arms nearly straight and focus on squeezing your shoulder blades together.
Sit facing the machine's pad. Adjust the seat height so the handles are at shoulder level.
Grasp the handles. You can use a pronated (palms down) or neutral (palms facing each other) grip.
Keeping your chest against the pad, pull the handles back and out to your sides in an arc motion.
Squeeze your shoulder blades together at the end of the movement and hold for a moment.
Slowly and controllably return the handles to the starting position.
