This is a fundamental movement focusing on proper form and mind-muscle connection. Pull the handles back in a controlled manner, squeezing your shoulder blades together at the end of the movement.
Sit on the machine and adjust the seat height and chest pad so your feet are firmly on the floor and your chest is supported.
Grasp the handles with an overhand or neutral grip. Keep your back straight and shoulders down.
Pull the handles towards your lower abdomen/chest, focusing on leading with your elbows and squeezing your back muscles.
Hold the peak contraction for a moment, then slowly and controllably return the handles to the starting position.
Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.
