A fundamental exercise for strengthening the calves. Focus on a full range of motion and a controlled, steady tempo.
Sit on the machine and place the balls of your feet firmly on the platform. Ensure your knees are at approximately a 90-degree angle.
Adjust the knee pad so it rests snugly on your thighs, just above your knees.
Release the safety lock. Lower your heels slowly and with control as far as possible to get a good stretch in your calves.
Forcefully push through the balls of your feet to raise your heels as high as possible. Pause at the top and squeeze your calves.
Slowly lower back to the starting position and repeat the movement.
